Free social media audits for Milton Keynes-based charities in 2024

In recognition of the challenges the non-profit sector has faced over the past few years, I am excited to announce that I will be offering free social media consultancy for Milton Keynes-based charities in 2024. There have been unprecedented challenges over the last few years and the non-profit sector has been particularly hit. Those of you who work in the charity sector will understand the challenges too well. When it comes to social media, it is often something that isn’t prioritised but could be valuable when done well.

Social media platforms are invaluable channels for connecting with diverse audiences, raising awareness about important causes, and attracting vital donations. In these challenging times, utilising these platforms effectively can make a substantial difference to small charities. I am eager to share my expertise with small Milton Keynes-based charities that do not currently have the resources for outsourcing social media marketing.

My experience

My social media career began with my food and lifestyle blog, Sophie etc. I’ve grown a local community of over 25,000 people! This led me to become the Social Media Officer at Bletchley Park 2019 - 2021, where I helped engage an online community during the lockdowns.

I now run the social media for Toybox, an international charity based in Bletchley. I partnered with them earlier this year to run Sophie’s Street Feast which had nearly 3,000 attendees and raised over £1,500 for Toybox, Girl Pack and St Mark’s Meals.

I am also a proud ambassador for YMCA Milton Keynes. I raise awareness of their work with young people and connect them to businesses who may be able to support them.

Having spent a lot of time in the charity sector, I know that many small charities are not after volunteers or money. Of course, this is helpful - but many need upskilling to help them fulfil their mission.

This is why I will be offering one free Social Media Audit a month throughout 2024 for small, Milton Keynes-based charities.

What is a Social Media Audit?

A Social Media Audit will give the charity an in-depth analysis of its current social media strategies and provide valuable insights into areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. The audit will give targeted, tailored guidance on how best to use social media to reach their goals.

A Social Media Audit includes:

  • PDF document with detailed feedback on social media profiles, content and content strategy with easy-to-implement steps as well as a basic competitor analysis.

  • An audio recording + video talking you through the findings.

  • One-hour Pick My Brains Session to answer any questions you might have or cover specific challenges you’re currently facing.

You will go away with more clarity about social media and the tools you need to improve your presence with the limited resources you have.

How to apply

Currently, I only have the capacity to offer one free Social Media Audit per month in 2024 and I will be taking applications on a quarterly basis for the audits. The audits will be given to the charities that will benefit from them the most and who do not currently have the budget for outsourcing social media marketing.

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a registered charity or CIC with an MK postcode and delivering projects within the Milton Keynes community.

  • You already have social media channels set up and are posting on a fairly regular basis.

  • You don't have someone (agency or employed) working full-time on your social media strategy.

  • Your total employed or voluntary team is smaller than 5.

APPLY FOR A SOCIAL MEDIA AUDIT FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY OR MARCH (applications close 20th Deember 2023)
